The Garden: Mother’s Day

And what do YOU do for Mother’s Day?
We keep our day pretty low-key. We make a special breakfast together. The kids make cards. And I usually get a pretty gift.
This year, though, there’s a very special mother that we’ll be honoring. A stray cat that adopted us gifted us with four little kittens. I can’t say that she’s the most attentive mother, or even that she cares much for the little mewling things that share a bed with her. But her kittens are growing and developing as if they are very well-loved, so maybe she keeps her parenting private. I guess I try to do the same.
